Alberta “G3” Poe Crawley Sloan, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in a local hospital. She was a graduate of Guntersville High School. She was a member of Allen Temple A.M.E. Church where she served on the Steward Board. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Sloan; parents, Oliver and Beadie Poe; brothers, Leroy Poe, Robert Poe, and James Poe; sisters, Mattie Bell Poe Milner, Sidney Mae Poe Fennell, Odell Poe Saulsberry, and Ludie Poe Tatum; husband, Irving Crawley, Sr.; sons, Irving Crawley, Jr., John Crawley, and Micheal Poe. Survivors include her son, John Q. Crawley; daughter, Jacqueline Crawley, both of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Nsombi C. Woods and Omar Crawley; four great-grandchildren, Chelon Davis, Myles Pinckey, LeShaun Woods, and Lauryn Woods; two great-great-grandchildren, Nailah Davis and Khalil Crawley; other relatives and friends. Pastor Eva Settles will be giving words of comfort.
