Adelia Lucille Parker's Obituary
Adelia Lucille Parker, 60, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, at her residence. She was a 1980 graduate of Brainerd High School and attended Chattanooga State Community College. Adelia was formerly employed by Shoney’s Restaurant. She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Deaconess and sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leonard and Minnie Dupree, and Mattie Daniels; parents, Anderson, Sr. and Margarette Patterson; mother-in-law, Seronia Parker; brother, Anderson Patterson, Jr.; sister, Ernestine Woodley; and nephew, Richard Okojie. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Jeffery Parker; daughter, Jessica Parker of Chattanooga; sons, Jeffery Lee Parker of Ringgold, GA, Eric Jones of Jasper, TN, Dexter Jones of Chattanooga, and Keyvon Parker of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; 7 grandchildren; brother, Arthur Patterson of Nashville, TN; sisters, Andreas Okojie of Nashville, Audrey Parker of Louisville, KY, and Alicia Patterson of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Adelia will lie-in-state on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Steve Underwood as the eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
