Carrie Mae Boynton, 103, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 11, 2020 after a short illness. She was a lifelong member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Emma Smith; husband, Frampton Allen Boynton; children, Emma Lee (1), Emma Lee (2), Mathews, Jimmie Lee, Gloria Jean Shepherd; brother, Grady Smith; grandson, Michael Boynton, Anthony Shepherd, Alexis Boynton; daughter-in-law, Delores Boynton. Survivors include her sons, Alexander Boynton, Sr., Grady (Brenda) Lee, and Jeremiah Boynton; daughters, Frankie Mae Ricks and Janice Mae Bradley, all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Alexander Boynton, Jr., Marshall Ann (Danny) Buice of Atlanta, GA, Edward Boynton of Pennsylvania, Grady Savion Boynton, Keyair Boynton, both of Chattanooga, Judy Boynton, Cindy Boynton, Tony Anthony Boynton, all of Germany, Pamela (Danny) Robert, Jimmy, NaJee, Norman, Timothy, Alexis Jr., Shemeca, Alexis III, Akeelah, Jirah, Jamaica, Kenya, Gail (Corey) Hardy, Wanda Mathews, Grady Mathews, Clarence Shepherd, Santanya Woods, Brontanya, Clarence, Camari, Sevyn, Anthony, Cahliyah, and James (Dorisea) Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Alexander Boynton II of Maryland, Robert Sr., JaLela, Danielle, Cachet, Juvqweta, Carmell, Neise, Erica, Robert Jr., Jimmy Jr., JaQuisha W., Alfred, Deadrick, DeNasha, Ronald, Jamarquez, Laila, Mallyah, Naomi, Lemel (Shana) Jamel, Malcolm Cormetna, Cynthia, Shawnquell, Perry C., Victoria, Sheena, Grady, Destiny, James, Jermichael, Ja’Cariun, Niyuanna, Daylon, Donaldtay, Baynesiha, and Coretta; great-great-grandchildren, Rikko, Riley, Tristian, Niya; nieces, Connie Thomas, Delfelia Watson, Tewania Douglas, Bonita Smith, and Shemikia Smith of Tyler, Texas; nephews, Anthony (Sonia) Smith, Marjorie, Shante; cousins, Calvin Sims, Irene Eubanks, both of Chattanooga; a host of other relatives and friends.
