    Willie Mae Gilliam

    May 21, 1952 - March 25, 2022

    Willie Mae Gilliam, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022, at her residence. She was a 1970 graduate of Howard High School and received her Associate degree from Chattanooga State Community College. She was a member of Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Women’s Ministry. She was employed by Tennessee Valley Authority for 36 years. Willie Mae was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Mae Bryant; father, Walter Bryant; grandparents, Carrie Harris and James Harris, Sr.; uncles, Charles Harris, Joseph Harris, and James Melvin Harris, Jr.; aunts, Lilly Harris, Josephine Harris, and Elizabeth Jeffries; sister, Brenda Young. Survivors include her son, Corey Gilliam of Chattanooga; brother, Edward (Katherine) Bryant of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Danita (Winfred) Moore and Diane Bryant, both of Chattanooga; aunts, Novella Harris of El Paso, TX and Carrie Harris of Chattanooga; cousins, Betty Hawkings and Alice Brady; devoted classmate and friend, Zabra Kirksey; special friend, Annie Lee Borkman, all of Chattanooga. Reverend Robert Rice will be the eulogist.
