Roberta Craig-Burgess

July 31, 1934 - January 15, 2022

Roberta Craig-Burgess, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at her residence. She was a member of Rock Island Baptist Church, where she served on multiple chairs. Roberta enjoyed humming to gospel music, dancing to blues, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Birdell Craig; sisters, Christine Craig and Birdell Craig; brothers, Jasper Craig and Odell Craig. Survivors include her sons, Willie Davis, of Decatur, GA, Larry (Linda) Craig, Freddie Davis, both of Athens, GA, Anthony Burgess, Edward Burgess, and Michael (LewShawnda) Burgess, all of Chattanooga; daughters, Barbara Maclure, of Decatur GA, and Tiamara (Edward) Wynn, of Chattanooga; siblings, Lucille Neal, Garfield Craig, Lessie (Charles) Norman, and Harry (Evelyn) Craig, all of Athens, GA, and Robert Craig Jr., of Snellville, GA; devoted granddaughter, Erica Burgess her fiancé; and son, Carmello Peoples, 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
