    Martin (MJ) Leonard Jackson, Jr.

    August 31, 1989 - April 7, 2022

    Martin Leonard Jackson, Jr., “MJ”, 32, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022. He was a 2008 graduate of Brainerd High School. He was the owner of Move It All Chattanooga. Martin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Robbie Thompson; grandfather, Cedric Sowell; uncles, Carey Williams, Sr. and Darren Barksdale. Survivors include his sons, MarKese Jackson, Martavius Hicks, Omari Jackson, Derrick Carnes, Jr., all of Chattanooga, and Julius Hibbitt of Kentucky; daughters, Kaliyah Jackson of Nashville, TN and Eriyonna Moorer of Chattanooga; mother, Pamela (Darryl) Rivers of Chattanooga; father, Martin Jackson, Sr. of Chattanooga; stepfather, John (Vanessa) Hanna of Atlanta, GA; grandparents, Rosie Lee Jackson of Chattanooga, Cynthia Combs of Shreveport, LA, Willie and Orene Bey of Chicago, IL, and Jerry Combs of Shreveport, LA; brothers, Darrian (Talysha) Hanna of Nashville, Bryan Rivers, and Terence Locke, both of Chattanooga; sisters, TaKesha (Chadrick) Pratt of Chattanooga, Jaylah Hanna, Brittany Barnes, Briana Barnes, all of Atlanta, and Ebony Jackson of Chattanooga; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
