Jimmie Lee “Clack” Coleman, 76, of Chattanooga, peacefully passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022, in the Hospice Care Center. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 2, 1945 to the union of the late Albert Franklin and Clara “Pansy” Perry Coleman, Sr. He was preceded in death by his natural parents; his adopted parents, Alfred and Ethel Pruitt; sisters, Agnes Keith and Doris Ware; and brothers, Albert Coleman, Roy Smith, and James Smith. He attended Howard High School, where he trained as a brick mason and excelled in the statewide Trade and Industry competition. He held a variety of jobs through the years and was last employed at Gulas Restaurant. Jimmie leaves to cherish his memories, five sisters, Terry Smith of Los Angeles, CA, Patricia (Percy) Shackleford, Ruth (Horace) Boykins, Barbara Jean (Sam) Shackleford, and Alphelia Pruitt-Chitty, all of Chattanooga; two brothers, Jerry Smith of Los Angeles, CA and Tommie (Janice) Pruitt of Chattanooga; aunt, Earline Perry of Chattanooga; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
