Hector Miguel DeSouza, Jr.

June 7, 1948 - April 6, 2022

Hector Miguel DeSouza, Jr., 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in a local hospital. He was a 1967 graduate of Rainbow City High School and received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida. Hector retired from Tennessee Valley Authority as an Electrical Engineer after many years of service. He was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. Hector was preceded in death by his father, Hector M. DeSouza, Sr. and mother, Joyce A. DeSouza. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Brenda C. DeSouza; sons, Michael D. (Tracy) DeSouza of Atlanta, GA and Marco D. (Calena) DeSouza of Tampa, FL; daughters, Lacye A. DeSouza of Chattanooga and Caron N. (Cervernie) Cone of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Micah DeSouza, Cara Cone, Montré DeSouza, and Chandler DeSouza; great-grandchildren, Kiyre DeSouza and Kiyzah DeSouza; brothers, Dario (Gloria) DeSouza of Panama and Ruben (Thomasina) DeSouza of Houston, TX; sisters, Patricia DeSouza of San Antonio, TX, Lilia DeSouza of Panama, and Antonia DeSouza-Sobers of San Antonio, TX; a host of nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; many friends and other loved ones.
